The Group was formed in September 2004 to protect, preserve and promote interest in this Victorian cemetery. Despite being close to busy road junctions, Belgrave Cemetery is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The site covers 5.5 acres and was opened in May 1881. Although it is no longer possible to purchase a new grave, Belgrave cemetery is still a working cemetery.
