Malvern Wells sits on the East side of the Malvern hills, to the South of Great Malvern Town. It overlooks the Severn Valley and Bredon Hill. With exceptional views, the Cemetery is a place of peace and tranquility. Along with a Victorian Chapel and a number of interesting graves, it has a wealth of local history.
Started in September 2024, the Friends group is evolving fast with a couple of planting and maintenance projects as well as supporting the recent digital mapping project. The aim of the Friends of Malvern Wells Cemetery is to support the Parish Council in the management of the Cemetery and to promote its benefits to the Malvern Wells Community.
Activities include:
- Help improve, conserve and care for: the Cemetery green space; the Chapel
- Research and archiving of records
- Promoting the Cemetery and events
- Fundraising and garnering sponsorship for the benefit of the Cemetery
- Training for specific tasks, e.g. researching, tool handling, green conservation
